I got some new additions: some beautiful new grips from Sarge (thanks Sarge!) an Ed Brown chain link MSH, and a WC Bulletproof slide lock.

Hi,

I went through and completed the 500 round minimum break in shots, and I must say my pistol works very very well. I have had no malfunctions.

There is only a tiny amount of wear on the parts where there is friction, to be expected. Otherwise it is great.

I trust this pistol from now on will give me years and years of great service.

Walked into the gun shop tonight. They had an Ultra Raptor SS they just got in. Held it and had to have it. Put it on lay-a-way. I have an Ultra covert that I carry all the time. I just love the ultra guns. The all stainless will be nice and different addition. I like the grips it comes with but dont love them. I'm thinking of something a little darker perhaps. maybe some VZ's with a brown/black type scheme. Id love to see more pics with different grips.

Congrats on your new Raptor. If your looking for some brown/black VZ's, check out their BlackCherry colored grips, they're awesome. Don't have a pic of them on the Raptor, but here's a set of VZ Aliens with an Ed Brown Chainlink MSH w/maxi well.

Took my new Raptor to the range today, put a 150 rounds of Winchester white box through it. It ran great, no problems, gun was smooth, trigger was great. I could not have been more happy! I can say this I have never shot so well with a pistol, and I doubt I will ever be as accurate as this pistol.

It was simply beautiful, I will post pics in the morning, and if anyone is intersted a pic of my target. I am still in awe of how well it performed and how well I shot it, Ive never been that accurate before.

figured i would stick my head in here. Bought a Raptor II yesterday, take delivery Tuesday. Cant wait to get my hands on this 1911. It is the first one I have ever owned so im sure ill be in this area asking questions.

Here are the pictures I promised. Pretty damn good for the 1st time out. I had some flyers and my 1st shot is always low (doesn't matter what pistol/revolver).

Thanks, I will take some good pics of it this weekend. 20yds was just kind of fun, I was just using the front sight, and fling rounds down range.

I have an Ultra Raptor II that I have a custom set of VZ Aliens ordered for that are customized. Can't wait to get them in and installed.

I do have a photo of it with a set of Nighthawk Custom VZ grips on it. (I was only trying to figure out what would look good on it other than the factory scale grips.)

Wow, those NHC grips look killer on the Raptor. Are your custom VZ's going to be similar to the NHC's?

Yes, they will be the green canvas Aliens. I ordered a custom set with the "Don't Tread on Me" snake laser etched in them in place of the NHC logo. I am expecting them most any day now. I'm stoked.

I'm stoked too (and the're not even mine), but I'm very much looking forward to seeing them. Are these being customized directly from VZ, or is another shop doing the work?

Direct order from VZ. I went to their web site and they had some custom etchings listed but the snake wasn't one of them. I call and talked to Mike and he said they could do it but it would take a little longer as they usually do the custom etchings in runs of 8 but mine would have to be done alone. They are easy to work with, great customer service.
