need parts for my dan wesson panther???
I have been trying to find a new target barrel and spring kit for my dan wesson 1911 stainless panther. The gun still works beutifully but i bought it used at a gun show recently and would like to have the parts laying around for it i like it so much....can anyone help me out? i would like the parts to be factory

I was unfamiliar with the Panther, so I Googled it. It appears to be a match of the Pointman frame and Patriot slide. http://www.lewhorton.com/danwesson.html
You can call Dan Wesson/CZ about "original" parts but my guess is they won't have any. I'm sure DW contracted these from another source. I would buy Wolff springs. I would also be curious as to why you need a new barrel. It takes a lot of rounds to shoot out a barrel of a pistol. Kart makes "easy fit" barrels that are very good. P.S. That's one of the nice things about 1911s. Parts are easy to find.

Welcome to the forum!
Probably aren't gonna find "factory" parts, as this model has been discontinued for quite some time, although if you post a good picture someone with a keen eye can probably tell you exactly what the parts are. Best to just get quality (better) parts, fit them as needed, and keep them as spares.

sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys i aprecaite all the advise. The only reason i wanted a new factory barrel now is because if its this hard to find one now it will be impossible to find in 5 years or so. ive never shot a semi auto pistol ive liked as much as this one and i want it to be around for along time P.S. What do yall think of my revolver???

the gun is nothing special for parts except the external extractor system on the slide.i wouldent worry about anything but it.
maybe someone like dave will chime in and tell you more about it.he would also know if replacement extractors are availible. pete
