Just a quick word of thanks to Log Man. He modified two EMP mags for me...less than a week from shipping to receiving the mags back. Great work. The flush fit magazines are exactly what my 9mm EMP needed.

You buy the mags from Springfield and then contact logman for address to send them to and the payment.

You don't buy the mags from logman, he only modifies them.

i can, i tig welded for 35 years in a pipe shop but have no way to do it at home since i retired . USGOVT 40 years. i would love to work in a shop like LOGMAN'S,

I contacted Logman and got a quick response covering the details. I put 3 magazines in the post on Monday morning from New Jersey, found a package in the post today (Friday) with the 3 modified magazines.

A+ for turnaround time (5 days including return shipping from NJ->CA)
A+ for quality of welding and finish of the magazine base

The only thing I could think of as a possible improvement could be to move the holes to see the number of rounds either just on the 'EMP' side of the magazine, or just on the back/rear of the magazine so they don't cover the 'MFG in Italy BY MecGar, For Springfield Armory'. Other than that very minor item the resulting modification looks like a true manufacturer product.

Overall am very pleased and won't hesitate to recommend.

Thanks for that. The witness holes do clip two of the letters on the left side even though they are centered between the two lines, but is quite legible. They are positioned on the 4 and 8 round location. The purpose of course is to allow easy dis-assembly, so a punch can be inserted through the compressed spring, and the follower either inserted or taken out. It can be done without any holes if one prefers, but is more of a struggle. The current configuration is how it started and have just followed through with how it has been done in the past. Anyone wanting it differently can ask and will do so. There are currently so many pictures I feel bound by them.
