Extra Magazines

What are the best magazines (read this as reliable and reasonably priced) to buy for the full size .45? Novak is listed in the Advanced Tactical website. Anybody have suggestions from experience?

Depends on how much you want to spend. I love Wilson Combat mags. But they cost double what a Novak will. But the Novaks work just fine. I have Kimbers for my CS that have never given me a problem either.

Keep in mind that mags should be cleaned when you get them. Disassemble and wiped out then oiled. Grit and shavings from the manufacturing process can get down in there and keep the follower from moving freely.

I got them at my local firearms emporium for about $20.00 each.

I copy on this too, the CMC work awesome and are very reasonable in price. I think I paid about $18 ea through Midway, they currently have a coupon code for $10 off $50 good till 9/30/10 code 509310. The CMC shooting stars are on sale now for $14.99 as well. The coupon code won't work with sale items though. But they also have Wilson and Novaks of course.

I also recommend the CMC shooting stars (used in a Remington R1). I received two more of the CMC magazines only yesterday, I paid $16.99 each. Midway has them now for $13.99, my luck.

The Rock9mm's come with mags from checkmate, I use Mec-Gar,metalformand Triple K mags with no problems.
CDNN has really good prices on mec-gar and metalform mags. last sale the metalforms were under $9 each and the mec-gars were 12 and change.

Mags

Great responses, thanks. I did a quick inspection of the new mag I got with my full size RIA. I did not disassemble and clean it, though. It looks pristine. Should I clean it? I did the pistol, with guidance from this site.
