How I found 1911 Forum

I have been doing a fair amount of research on various 1911 topics over the past few years. As I performed my research, 1911 Forum constantly provided useful and beneficial information from member posts so I decided to join. I am adicted now and look forward to continuing my quest for knowledge and sharing some of my experiences in the future.

I found this site via another site I frequent all the time, once I saw how large this site is and that you have a whole section on just Ed Brown custom 1911's, I was hooked and I signed-up.

Hello to all. I'm new here on the board

Also found the forum using a Google search.

I really enjoy the picture threads.

Right now, the only pistol I have is a Glock but I'm starting to look for any "entry-level" 1911. Spent some time at the range yesterday with a friend who has an Ed Brown (ok, not really "entry-level" with my budget).

Anyway, great forum and great content on here.

I came across the site by searching for technical and reloading information on M1911s. The 1911 is my favorite pistol and the site is very informative

Looking for information on 1911's - preparing to buy 1st 1911 and wanted some information on different manufactorers and models. Recommendations for 1st 1911 - good overall quality and med-level price ($750 - $1200).

When looking for a new weapon to carry concealed, I ran across a few of the threads on this forum. Liked the information and the banter, so I wanted to join and talk to other people who love guns.

I was looking for flush fit magazines for my Springfield 1911 EMP, and discovered via google search a certain member of this forum named "log man" modifies peoples magazines to make the flush. I did some more reading and I like the community here, so here I am!

Typed in this at Google:

"Awesome 1911 site"

And 1911 forum was the second item! Should have been first item, IMHO!

Hi, Thank you for the forum and for asking how I found you. I shoot mostly 1911's and had a fairly important question. I asked the question straightout in google, and google search engine sent me straight to your forum. Thank you for the information that I learned here. [/I][/B]

Surfing the Web for 1911 information

The title says it alll, I was reading up the 1911 for hints on maintenance, improvements and purchasing new ones (as if I need more, though one can never have too many now that I think about it) and I saw the forum and felt compelled to join!
