The New Guy

New member!! I was randomly browsing the net at work one day while working on weekends and i somehow bumped into this site. I purchased my first 1911 which is my first pistol the day after i got back from deployment. But anyways, I was just searching for parts and if there is any upgrades i could do for cheap. I clicked into this site and started reading threads and before i knew it... hours just passed by like nothing. Ever since then, i couldn't go a day without reading anything from this site. I enjoy reading the threads and all the great info's and such. But anyways, I'm a noob into this site and into 1911's. The pistol i purchased is a Kimber Pro Carry 2 Stainless and I've put 650 rounds on it since November and i just recently received my CCW. Sorry for the long post. haha

I was doing research on Wilson CQB,s via Google and that is how I found this site. After reading several threads I decided this forum contained a wealth of information and everyone seemed friendly and willing to share their knowledge. Thanks!

How I found this site.

Found the site in a Google search for 1911 forum.
It seems that I came to a very good site, finally.

Hello to all of you 1911 lovers out there!

I hope I can share with everyone.

I have shot and owned 1911 for some 40 plus years.
I have had several 1911s including the current
Colt Gold Cup Trophy. I did participate in Bullseye
competition for about 6 years. Owned a several
accurized 1911 pistols. I no longer compete.

I am hoping to build my own 1911s when I retire and
maybe do side work for cleaning and tuning the 1911s
mostly for hobby. Maybe do a little bit of reloading and
shooting.

I was looking for some solid info on my new HS Crusader and ran across this sight. There are other sites out there but this one seemed like EVERYONE has a love affair with their 1911 and after reading i was hooked. There is some really great info on here and not alot of "bickering" like some of the other sites. Great Job here.....

New to the site

I found the group when I was looking for 1911 information. I have 4 1911 style pistols and quite a lot of parts. I'm a retired Police Officer and am a Glock armorer. I recently became an FFL and started working on the 1911 format guns. Thanks for having me here.....

Looking for information on building a 1911, found your site when I googled "Fusion" quality. Have been drawn to the 45 since I first shot one in in Viet Nam, currently own a Remington R1 and a Remington WWII rebuild, and am looking a building my own from a kit.

Hello from Wisconsin

Hi everyone, I was Thinking About, Maybe getting a 1911 and I was doing research over at AR15.com (I'm a member) and there were numerous references to this forum, so here I am. I can only blame this forum for me spending my hard earned money on my first 1911.
Thanks guys,
JP
