Colt Silver Stallion

Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about the Silver Stallion? Where could I pick up a new barrel spring? Any other info?

Thanks,
Greg

The Silver Stallion was a limited production gun(1 of 350) that has an Officers ACP (3.5in) length barell/stainless slide mated to a Lightweight Commander frame. I would look at it this way, any parts needed for the slide assembly would be the same as an Officers ACP and any parts needed for the frame would be for a Commander. Check out Wolff springs for your needs, they seem to be the popular choice. That is a unique gun and if I found one I would like to see a bobtail or rounded mainspring housing fitted for a nice carry piece. Good Luck!

P.S. Colt also made the Defender (3in) with the larger frame as well.

If it only one of 350 you wouldn't want to alter it with a bobtail would you?

To each their own! I think that gun bobtailed would be close to a perfect carry gun. I guess it would also depend on its' value, because if the gun is worth alot then yes you would probably not want to alter it but if its' value is the same as an average Officers ACP then why not? Are these versions highly sought after? I'm not being sarcastic, I just don know their value.
