VZ Operators on the Kobra Carry
Funny how time changes your mind. I thought the rosewood grips that came on the KC were perfect on it, and that I'd never want to change that. Fast forward about a month...
![]() I just ordered some VZ Operators from Randy at the 1911 Grips Store (1911-grips.com). Very pleased with the super fast shipping, and the grips were exactly as ordered: Black VZ Operators with ambi cut, slim grip, with the appropriate hardware to do the swap. A teaser pic: ![]() I took more, all of which were out of focus worse than the above. I'll try to get a few more later, but I'm really pleased that I got what I wanted, cheaper than I thought I'd spend, and that it all worked the first try. The makings of a good day are afoot....

The slim version feels great.

I have 2 sets of VZ grips in G10 and really like both of them. The slims feel great. Removing the regular bushings off a Brown is tough as they use red loctite at the factory. A bushing bit makes removal much easier.

I was worried about this myself, but was pleasantly surprised with how easily they loosened. I put blue loctite in as I installed the slim bushings, hopefully that'll hold them without being too hard to change later.

Blue has worked for me in the past. No failures to hold. Much easier to break loose than red.
