I have put about 500 or so rd's through it now and I have shot everything in 9mm that I could get my hands on including CCI Blazer in steel case.
I HAVE SEEN NO DAMAGE AT ALL.

Even shooting +P's no damage

Assy McGee --- how do you like the EMP?

I'm on the fence between the EMP in 9mm and the Defender in 9mm. I've heard bad tales of the 3" .45s not being very reliable since the barrel is shorter than what the round was designed for. But I'm thinking the 9mm should be a good option on either of those two.

I just don't like the field strip on the EMP with that little "tool" you have to use.

If you had your choice, and if the $300 difference wasn't an issue, which would you buy?

I bought my 2010 9mm new that year. Fun little gun. I do not carry it but would if I had to. The fit and finish are great and it has been 100% since round one, but it IS a range toy. I have maybe 2K rounds of all sorts of 9mm (9x19) through it and it has been no trouble. I do clean it when I come back from the range. It is over my .45 ACP Defender I bought new in 2002. Yes, I replaced the grips with some from the old Ajax company on both guns.

dakota -- nice set. I'm looking for one in the 9mm flavor. I'm wondering what everyone finds to be the most trouble-free SD ammo for the 9mm.

So far I have found CorBon DPX and Remington Golden Saber to be very reliable in my 9mm Defender.

Dallas -- That Golden Saber seems to be a very good round for the Defender and the Walther PPK (which is a bit pick on what it feeds). I haven't tried it in my PPK yet, but it doesn't have any trouble with the Hornady Critical Defense. I need to get a box of the GS and see how it works in the PPK.

I also need to get a box of it in 9mm so it will push me over the edge and make me just go ahead and order a new Defender (I had to buy it, honey. I needed something to shoot this ammo in, didn't I?)
