And he's currently under investigation as well.
I don't live in his county, but what I have heard of him I like. I see no reason to coddle law breakers or make prison a comfortable experience.

Too bad the US Government doesn't have the cajones to back him up.

The worst thing the Feds did was to authorize Arpaio's department to enforce immigration laws.

The Left (including this administration, the ACLU, the press etc, but I repeat myself) absolutely despise the man and have been trying to "get" him for years.
However, the actual citizens in his county continue to elect him. A couple of years ago I saw some film of people signing up for his Sheriff's Patrol. One was a man in his 70's qualifying with a nice stainless Colt Python.
