FS: rare A H HARDY .45 shoulder holster MILT SPARKS, JEFF COOPER

price reduced........FS: A very rare AH Hardy shoulder holster for the Colt 45 Government.
This holster is marked: AH HARDY MAKER, BEVERLY HILLS, CAL 45 A and is the
holster (not this specific one) that MILT SPARKS and JEFF COOC:\Users\Bill Sander\DocumentsPER used to develop the SPARKS HARDY COOPER holster.
This holster is also marked CULVER O-xx2472 on the back of the holster and C-2472 and CAPT N F CULVER on the leather harness. So, it was obviously carried by a military officer probably during the sixties.
The holster and the leather harness are in great shape, the spring clip is tight and leather covered. It is all original but, I am not sure the elastic strap is original. It may be a replacement.
This is definitely a part of holster history and rarely found in this condition.

Thanks for looking.

I had one of those in 1966 and always thought it was a Bianchi. Was issued to me at Tuy Hoa 101st Airborne and it finally rotted off from sweet while jumping off a Huey. Thanks for the memories. Jim

That was early Vietnam so, the government was buying up holsters and other supplies wherever they could. I always thought it was cool in a Huey at 1500 feet preparing to jump. The ten foot jumps can get you hurt.

Armen

Your name caught my eye back in the seventies I used to shoot at the South Bay Pistol in Torrance Ca.and Arman would come with a cart to carry his tools and guns to test fire. Unfortunately I didn't know who he was until much later. Would have like to shake his hand. Plenty of his 1911 made it to Vietnam.

Obviously, it is not a Bauer Bros. holster and this AH Hardy holster is a part of the history of the Sparks Hardy Cooper shoulder holster (which I also have). Try to find another AH Hardy holster for the .45. Bauer's were mass produced and AH Hardy was one of the most prestigious holster makers of the sixties.
Thanks for looking.
