Spam can ammo ID
I need your help here------------. Some time back I picked up an unopened green "Spam" can with the following markings----. 11,43 Cartridges Pistol Ball Brass Case. Measurements are 6"x14"x4". My guess(and hope) is that it contains .45Auto ball ammo, but I don't want to open it up in case there might be a slight premium in value if still sealed. In today's crazy market it probably doesn't matter any more, as blasting ammo brings what collectible ammo did just a year or so ago. I have been given one tentative ID of 660 rounds of .45ACP.
My camera and my photographic skills preclude posting photos. Any ideas as to provenance and values? |

11.43mm = .45ACP

Thanks, Parallax.
If I remembered correctly, the markings on Argentine DGFM slides are 11.43 as well. I do appreciate the confirmation. |
