Kimber serial numbers

I was wondering if there was a way to look at a kimber serial number to see when the gun was made. I would like to know how old a used kimber I bought really is.

What is the serial number and model? We can give you a fairly close date.

We would need more info than that. Model number and the complete serial number is what we need.

Nope. You would need to tell us the model, and add enough XX's to let us know how many total numbers there are. If it's an older model, we could probably guess within a year. On newer models, like if that number is K102XXX, you would have to call Kimber.

In the 24 hour life of the thread, you could have called Kimber and had an exact date.

Numbers

Well thanks for all the help guys. My job keeps me on a computer 12 hours a day but it is nearly impossible for me to get on a phone. so If I can get help from good guys like your self I can normally get the answers I need. I bought the gun used and love it. It never jams it's extremely accurate. I shoot with guys with Ed's and Wilsons and STI's and I can run right with them. I'm confused as to why to original owner ever parted with it.

Again thanks for the help.

I only deal with Series 1 models. Therefore, I never get any calls.
