fat guy looking for holster

i have been looking and just cant find something i am happy with.
i have a officers model 1911
i am 6' 00" lbs right at 300 i dont want a IWB holster and i dont want SOB holster
i do like how the SOB holster is sideways but i would like to carry about 4 o'clock

what do you guys think anyone out there the same boat as me.

I'm about in the same boat but I like a shoulder holster my belly kinda hides it

that is what i am thinking to go with also. but it gets to dang hot down here during the summer. but still thinking of a light very light button up shirt to wear which i have.

I'm 320, and carry a RIA Compact in a Beltster. Works great for me! Pistol is susceptible to scratches though.

Desantis SOB, Cabelas has it way cheaper than anyone else (don't tell them that). It is the most comfortable holster I own. The Beltsters are cool, but if your jeans have any of the decorative buttons around the pockets, you run the risk of scratching the slide.

Thanks for the thread fella's. I just ordered a M7 tanker holster/WWII replica, also have a safari land paddle, an IWB Galco, and an OWB Uncle Mikes...still not satisfied. This just might do the trick.

VERY true! I have to remove the rivets on every new pair of jeans I get. I don't recommend a Beltster to carry guns that you want to keep pristine and pretty, seatbelts can mark 'em up too. But my Compact is just a carry gun, a tool for self-defense, although I love that little gun. She's not one of my pretty girls, but she's the one I go out with the most!

I'd go with a pancake holster like the hume 721 open top if you don't like IWB. I'm 6'0 230, I realize I'm not the fattest man alive but I've never been accused of being skinny either- IMO IWB is definatly the way to go. It just hides so much better. I didn't even need to up my pant size to carry IWB, with a good holster/belt it is very comfortable.
