What does UMC stand for?




On Remington ammunition... what does UMC stand for?

Seems to me it stands for "Universal Metal (metallic??) Cartridge".

UMC Should stand for "Ultra mean cartridge" Well atleast when shooting 180gn .44magnums. Hot little suckers!!!! Over 1600 fps

hahaha glad im not the only one that thought that. i remember one time walmart being out of UMC's so i bought a box of WWB 44 mag. After firing i had to re-check the box to make sure i didn't buy 44 specials.
