Well another STI Steel Challenge Match is in the books.

We had a ton of people show up to shoot and a lot of locals came out to watch.

This was the third year we have hosted the Area 2 / Rocky Mountain Regional and the home range has already agreed to let us run it again next Memorial Day weekend. Be there.

Thanks to my match staff for again stepping up to help. This particular match is hard on the stats guys. Lots of data to input...

A huge thanks to the sponsors of the match. STI international. 3-Gun Stuff. LaRue Tactical. High Vis. The Trophy Shop. Please remember that without these businesses supporting you, matches would not happen so please support them.

Thanks to the shooters that came out and braved the wind.

Lastly thanks to my awesome wife for letting me do this stuff.

Awesome match.

It got harder this year. Sometimes just being able to find the targets was a challenge. Out of the 120 targets I never found two of them.

The prize table was killer.

Thanks to everyone that made this match happen.

Manse's Revenge-SASS SC State Championship Match March 21-24, 2013

We're about three weeks away from some of the best cowboy action shooting events in the region. This is the SC State Championship but the match draws cowboy shooters from all over the Southeast and beyond (ask the fellow who is coming from OREGON).

The Greenville Gun Club is hosting the SC State Match for the second time and we're going all out. The match is limited to 200 shooters and we have 146 registered as I post.

If you have an interest in cowboy action shooting this is a great opportunity to come out and see cowboy shooters at their best. Visitors and spectators are welcome. It is a family friendly event so bring the whole crew. Aside from the shooting there will be vendors selling all sorts of cowboy shooting "necessaries".

We kick off Thursday March 21st with "side matches" including a black powder match in the morning, a Wild Bunch Action Shooting match after lunch, and various other side matches throughout. Wild Bunch is a separate discipline in which shooters use a .45 ACP 1911 pistol, a large caliber lever action rifle and a pump shotgun. The Greenville Gun Club will host a stand-along Wild Bunch State Match in October 2013.

Friday and Saturday are the best days to come watch as we shoot the "main match stages". These stages will be much of what we do in our local monthly matches and require the shooter to use two single action revolvers, a rifle and a shotgun.

Sunday morning we have the awards ceremony and the top scoring shooters go head-to-head on falling plates in a "shootoff" for an extra prize.

For more information go to www.greenvillegunfighters.com and click on "Manse's Revenge". Post a reply or send me a PM with comments or questions.

I think the last reply belonged in another thread.

Manse's Revenge is not full; website shows 156 shooters registered.

Tom, will there be any announcement if there are entry cancellations or additional openings for the April event?

We were looking to do the Ruger Rimfire Challenge World Championship in July but just found out that is being pulled out of Colorado because of the recent legislation.

I have a few slots for Friday, but Saturday is completely full.

There is also the Regional Steel Challenge one month later. Rimfires are welcome there as well.
