Bianchi M-12 Holster: Fit 5" 1911???

I know that the M-12 holster is designed to fit the Beretta M-9, 92FS double stack pistol. However, does anyone know if it will fit a full size 5" Government Model 1911?

I was looking at buying a new Bianchi UM-84 (Universal Military Holster), which is basically the civilian version of the M-12 & it will accept 1911s, however, they're about $50.00 more than the tons of like new/used M12 holsters available for sale.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sir, yes, a 5-inch 1911 will fit. It doesn't fit as well as the M9, though.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.
