Holster recommendations (revolver related)

Can anyone recommend a holster for a 4" full lug L frame S&W. It won't be carried/concealed, just a range gun with some uspsa mixed in. (ie... what do you put your L frame in)

I've been looking around online but I'm getting frustrated with that, so I thought I'd tap the vast knowledge that is 1911forum.com

Webbo,
I use a Kramer Vertical Scabbard holster for my S&W M629 Classic with 5" full lug barrel but quality is not up to that of holsters from Lou Alessi or Milt Sparks (Tony Kanaley). My holster shows scribed layout lines in the leather not covered or concealed by stitching and otherwise exhibits less than top quality. I was told this was the second holster they made for me after the first one failed their internal quality check. Tony does have the HSR holster for a S&W with full underlug which you might consider.

Good shooting and be safe.

I have a Kramer also but mine did not have the problems mentioned by the previous poster and I'm very happy with it. I also use a Horseshoe Leather but they no longer make revolver holsters.

Kirkpatrick leather makes some nice holsters. Go to their on-line catalog. I use their holsters for hunting/ranch carry.

suggest

Find a Kydex OWB from BladeTech / Fobus / SideArmor / Comp-Tac / etc....

(around here the 4" GPs are in an old Ernie Hill for games, and fanny packs for wear....)

and for the best there is www.miltsparks.com

Check out the Dual Angle Hunter (cross draw option) the quality is excellent and the holsters are perfect for woods carry. I have many; they all have performed in an outstanding fashion.
Here'a pic of my 6" 586 in one
