Here is my RIA full size after being modified. The only stock parts are frame, slide, barrell and MSH. I have since changed the grips to some VZ micartas.

Finished

Well I hope that I'm done this time. I went ahead and redid the Black Oxide on the slide. The sides are just under a full polish more like a satin.

Another GI-look 5" RIA, with late Colt grips from Simpson Ltd.:

All other parts are stock except for these (from Brownells):

- John Masen checkered mainspring housing
- Ed Brown recoil spring plug
- Wolff 18.5# recoil spring

What did you use?

Hello turfmn, what did you do the slide with? Also like the look of the arch MSH. Nice job.

pvfjr slide

Hello pvfjr, was just thinking I bet you will not like those sights. So just out of trying to be nice I could be talked into trading you a stock slide for yours. Sure like the look of those sights. If you want to take me up on the offer just let me know.

Thanks, the rear sight is a McCormick drop in low profile and the front is a .200" Kings post sight. It took longer to open the box they came in than to put them on. The grips are Ajax irvory polymer.

I had some faux Ivory on my CS for a while and it looked hot! I ended up swapping them out for some slimline ebony for ergonomics sake. They look good too, but the Ivory is really classy.
