LDA "bumped" beavertail grip safety
Hello all, I have been looking at these forums for a while now, and I finally got around to registering so I can post. I have learned a lot already by just reading.
I just bought a Para 16-40 LDA and so far I am really happy with it, except for the grip safety. When I grip the pistol nice and high and put my thumb on top of the thumb safety, a good portion of the time I don't depress the grip safety far enough to engage it. If I lower my thumb a little it works fine. But, my question is: does anyone make a "memory groove" or "bumped" beavertail grip safety for the LDA? So far I have not been able to find one anywhere; I emailed Para with the same question, but they're closed until 1-2-06 for the holidays so I haven't heard back from them yet. I also talked to a local gunsmith who said he could weld up the factory grip safety and then grind it down to the desired shape, but I would rather get a production piece if it is available. Thanks in advance for any feedback. |

Welcome to the Forum.
Please do not cross-post to multiple forums. You posted the same thing in the Gunsmithing forum. You risk having both of your posts closed or deleted. Thank you.
