Kimber magwell
I was wondering if this magwell is actually all stainless steel? The MSH that came with my TLE RL/II is plastic and I like to replace it with all steel and the magwell is a nice option to go with it. Would this fit without any modification?

The stainless magwells that I bought from Kimber were stainless. The magwell ad that you attached is advertised as stainless, so it will be stainless. It, most likely, be a drop in fit, but they sometimes need a little polishing to get them to fit. Nothing too much. Smith and Alexander also make some outstanding magwells, check them out also.

How does S&A compares to kimber quality? Better? They seem to be the same price.....thats assuming I'm looking at the right one. GMFS is the part number, am I correct?

They are the same mag well. Kimber sells S&A parts. ETA: I put an Ed Brown on mine. I like the removable well on the Brown. Last edited by imashooter2; 09-17-2005 at 06:57 PM. |
