Stock Patriot

Purchased used for a modest sum. I like it just as it is:

Here's my Pointman Major, back from Gemini Customs with spalted maple grips from Mr. Ed Strange and the Wicked Grips crew. It used to be blued, and I had it chromed, bobtailed, added snakeskin checkering on the frontstrap and MSH(Ed Brown),and some other little stuff. I thought I had a "before" picture, but I don't,so here's the "after":

Let me plug Marc Morganti and Gemini Customs here and say he did an amazing job and was very easy to work with.

Please check with individual picture owners for permission. Better yet, why not ask on this forum for folks to contribute pics straight to you, via e-mail.

New 10mm CBOB

Here are some pics of my brand new CBOB. Everything is stock at this point. Thinking of getting some olive alumagrips with agressive checking. If you have a grip suggestion please post on new thread or pm me. Want to keep this thread on track.

All stock except for the Carbon Creations grips. Although, its pretty tricked out even stock (list of tricks at the bottom). I am going to have the front strap checkered and have a custom adjustable rear sight made that is shaped and beveled like a Novak with tritium inserts, along with a matching tritium front sight. Will finish it off with a full mirror polish.

Dan Wesson/CZ Pointman 7, Stainless .45 ACP:

Factory Trickery:

Forged, one piece match grade barrel and bushing.
Round top slide with Bo-Mar style adjustable target sight
Hand polished flat surfaces with contrasting bead blasted rounds
Flat, all steel 20-LPI checkered mainspring housing
Front and rear cocking serrations
Beveled magwell
All sharp edges dehorned by hand
Lowered and flared ejection port
Hand polished feed ramp
Ed Brown slide stop
Ed Brown memory groove grip safety
Tactical extended thumb safety
One piece full length stainless guide rod
Commander style match hammer
Match grade sear
Aluminum trigger with stainless bow
Extended serrated magazine catch
Wolff springs used exclusively
Diamond checkered coco-bolo grips (Replaced with Carbon Creations Ultra-thin Carbon Fiber Grips)
Tuned, machined, internal extractor

Here is my Patriot with Springfields 25lpi checkering. The grips are homemade myrtle wood from Oregon. This pistol has been 100% reliable, not one ftf or any problems in 2000+ rounds.

Here is my RZ-10 currently not in my possession

I'm having the front straps checkered and some reliability tuning by a gunsmith here. It's been gone for a while and I'm REALLY missing it.

No great shakes as pic compared to some but hey

Here's my DW PT-CCO wearing the utilitarian but hardly elegant Hogue rubber grooved grips (hey I like finger frooves even on 1911s - sue me! )

The gun itself is a bit of a bear - now visiting its second gunsmith to see if its persistent ejection issues/jams can be fixed. When it actually cycles it's a nice shooting pistol.

EDIT 3/3/06 - Replaced with better pic. Still not exactly world class photog skills to say the least, but nicer than the one I had up before.

My girlfriend convinced me to get a CBOB instead of a S&W Sc. I'm glad she did, I love this gun!!!
