Ammo making noise in mags
Is it normal for .45 rounds to make a light clacking noise inside my mags when loaded to capacity? They are cmc shooting star mags with brand new extra power springs that were just put in last week. The rounds arent banging against the sides of the mags, but rather they seem to be moving up and down to make the noise. Im not having any feeding problems. Ive just never noticed the noise before.

Yup. My spare mags occasionally rattle when I'm walking. I doubt they're moving up and down. I just whack the back edge of the mag on the palm of my hand & the rattle goes away.

It has been my experience that all 1911 mags rattle at one time or another. Wilson 47Ds, ETMs, Tripp Cobra mags, all the cheaper mags do it. As stated a light tap to the back of the mag to reseat the bullets to the rear of the mags solves the issues. By the way my Sig 228 mags do it also.

If mine don't rattle....they empty! Perfectly normal.
