Best wife load for a 442?

My wife bought a 442 and wants a good practice round that has less recoil.

If you don't reload, buy some factory target loads with 148 gr wadcutters. They are mild to shoot and generally pretty accurate.

While it's not exactly a 442, I've got a M&P340CT which is even lighter and I shoot WWB .38 special 130gr FMJ out of it all the time. It's somewhat snappy but plenty controllable and they don't beat my hand up like .357 can.

Get some cowboy .38 special loads w/the lightest bullets you can find. The 442 is still going to buck a little but that's the best you can do.

Another good option is to get a .22LR revolver and practice with that.

.38 Special Wadcutters. They'll cut a nice, clean hole, and penetrate well.

Any published load for a lead bullet and Clays powder. Usually about 3 grains.
