The one that works in YOUR gun! Seriously.... not all mags work in different guns and I feel you have to match them to specific guns. After you shoot them of course.
A guy was at the range a couple months ago with a brand spanking new SA loaded. He bought 2 Wolff 8 rounders and discovered they didn't work in his gun. I have a SA range officer and they worked flawless. Go figure.
Same here !! bought 2 USGI mags and they work unlike the ATI supplied!!!
Bought the 2 USGI at a local military surplus for $9.95 a piece!!! Cheap and flawless . Going back for 2 more tomorrow!!!
Mags are labeled Colt
Yes, You have to find the 8-rounders that work in your gun. As for 7-rounders, it's much easier to find a match. The 8's are pushing the envelope a bit.
However my gun started chewing in the "Ears" around the top bullet primer in the top rear of the Wolff Magazines. It is NOT Wolff's fault. Wolff made me whole and I am more than satisfied with them and their products.
With that said, I have a couple of Checkmate and Tripp mags in 8 rounds with the plastic/metal flat hybrid follower that loads well and a metal baseplate.
