Kimber slide compatibility

I was on gunbroker and saw a slide and barrel for an Ultra CDPII. I was wondering if this would fit on my Compact CDP II. I'm not willing to do any work on it, so I'm looking to see if this is a direct fit.

I don't think so. The Ultra has a ramped barrel. Even if it would, "no" work is likely no possible, maybe, but you wouldn't know until you had them and found whether they fit right or not.

Compact uses ramped frame, Ultra uses ramped barrel.
And when swapping parts on 1911's, nothing is ever guaranteed

Probably won't fit w/o fitting to the other gun.

None of the slides on my 3 1911s are interchangable with each other... Maybe with a hammer, but I'm not willing to test that.

Mike.
