New member from central Indiana

Glad to be a part of the community here.

I bought my first 1911 a little over a year ago (a Springfield Armory Loaded model).

I put 500 flawless rounds through it but sold it to fund another project within a month of acquiring it. I have regretted parting with the 1911 ever since.

However, yesterday I finally decided to end the suffering () and so I ordered a new Springfield Armory TRP (Armory Kote). I went with the rail-less version. Cannot wait for it to arrive.

One the biggest mistakes I've ever made (not counting the two ex-wives) was trading my 70 Series Colt Gold Cup National Match. I was stupid, I knew that the day after I traded. Swaped the Gold Cup for a Smith model 64 and a couple hundred cash. (Ex-wife number two was one of the reasons behind this trade) I've regretted this for over 30 years.

I feel your pain. Post a few photos when the new TRP arrives.

Welcome aboard,

Grumpy

Welcome from Northern VA. Central Indiana is a terrific place -- except for the conspicuous and annoying absence of anyplace to shoot near Bloomington, where our son lives.

Haha! Thanks for the laugh. Yes it's a painful lesson indeed but I'm glad I learned it early. And I will certainly post up some photos when it arrives.

Thank you. There's also a shortage of good ranges on the north side of Indy in the Carmel/Fishers/Noblesville area. If someone can get past the zoning obstacle, there's a big time market for one in this area.
