New trigger kit added

I upgraded 2 Ruger 1911's this morning with Cylinder & Slide Super Match trigger kit from Brownell's. It was quick and painless installation. The improvement in the trigger is incredible. I was never really a fan of the stock trigger. Good upgrade if you are looking to improve your SR1911.

Love those kits. And the trigger pulls they give ARE outstanding.

In my opinion a good ignition kit gives one of the best returns possible, dollar for dollar, on just about any production 1911.

Horoscope Fish: It transformed the gun with that kit. So much so that I ordered 3 more for other guns I'm not so fond of the trigger in. I couldn't believe the difference in materials and the workmanship when side by side.

F2blica: Brownell's number 206-103-040 or C&S number CS0213

I finally got around to picking one up and installing it. You were right Crashoverrideplik, the trigger improvement was incredible. A couple of my friends are Big 1911 shooters (the Ruger is my first) and they were quite impressed with it, especially after installing the C&S Trigger Kit. Using the Brownell's video as a guide the install was pretty easy. I highly recommed the kit. Brownell's has had it on Backorder forever, Midway has it on sale this month. I got it within two days. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Correct, Midway Product #: 816731 Cylinder & Slide #: CS213 (btw, they are in stock and on sale this month)
Description
Cylinder & Slide Super Match Trigger Pull 5-Piece Set 1911 Government, Commander 3-1/2 lb Steel in the White
Brownells Stock #:206-103-040WB but they have been backordered forever at Brownells. Brownells has a great video on how to install them. It was a drop in installation for my SR 1911. You may want to get another hammer strut pin to make things a little easier for you.

Thanks, F2blica

i've been eyeballing it on midway all afternoon.....
From what I hear, the hammer strut pin can be a PITA to get out.

I've been following the SR1911 upgrades and this helps a lot. I'm looking to upgrade my trigger and this will be perfect.

One thing I'm also hoping to fix is that the actual trigger rattles loose like crazy. Can you recommend (by part #) a good trigger to go with this kit? Or are you all using the stock trigger?

I'm currently using my stock trigger. I'll probably replace it in the future. I'm sure any 1911 trigger fitted will be better than the stock one. Brownells have some good videos on working on a 1911

I used the stock trigger on 2 of my guns, the third has a no hole flat Cylinder & Slide trigger. It will get a 10-8 trigger I think since I gotten the flat trigger bug.

Just ordered the Ultra Light Trigger Pull Kit from Brownells. I also got the cylinder and slide replacement pin kit (because of talk of potential hammer pin fit issues) and I also got the Nighthawk Customs custom trigger.

I plan on upping the trigger pull slightly, to get it closer to the "safe" range. Really looking forward to trying this kit out. Thanks for all the info from everyone, you've been incredibly helpful.

Have you solved the problem with the loose/rattling trigger yet? I have the same problem with mine.

I ordered the Cylinder & Slide kit from Midway but have not installed it yet. I am thinking of changing out the trigger also if I can't find a way to fix the stock one.

Thanks<
