Episode 105 - IDPA Order of Engagement
Rick's been wanting to talk about this for a long time. The order of engagement in IDPA is somewhat confusing especially for new shooters so he demonstrates the different kinds of engagement orders that are available and talk about grey areas.

Episode 111 - Gun Control and Competition Shooting
There's a lot of craziness these days that's happening in the United States politics pertaining to gun control. Rick and Larry spends some time to talk about the impact it could have on the competition shooting and what it would mean to your beloved sport if the anti-gun advocates get their way.

Episode 112 - Being a Lefty
Rick is a lefty as most of you would have known already. That together with decades of competition shooting experience, gives him a unique perspective to discuss the considerations and limitations of being a left-handed individual in a sport that's primarily dominated by right-handedness.

Episode 113 - Sporting Clays
Sporting Clays is akin to the sport of golf or as many would say, IPSC for Shotguns. "Stage" designs are variable and the sport is very fun to shoot. Steve and John meet up with Dave Jefferey and a bunch of great people at the Granite Falls Sportsmen's Club, to take us on a tour of what a typical Sporting Clay match looks like.

Apology maybe...

Honestly, with some of the things that Wayne Lapierre has fly out of his mouth these last couple of months, I am embarrassed to be a member of the NRA... there is better middle ground to be found!

Gun Rights...

I'm good with a standardized registration process and background checks.
That is my biggest complaint of Wayne. Let's close the loopholes. I respect my right of gun ownership, and act responsibly to protect my right. If you don't, then you are not fit for gun ownership.

Limiting magazine capacity to 10 is fine too. (I live in California, and it works ok for me).
Assault weapons.... hmmmm, that one is a bit tougher. Bullet buttons are stupid, but again, the mag capacity limit is ok with me. And this part is simply my opinion, but some of the shooters I have been around are way to inexperienced and undisciplined in their handling of highpowered, semi-automatic weapons. Some of the .223 crowd are darn scary. I don't like being muzzle swept, period!

I do like what the FBI published this week regarding civilian reaction to a shooting. They are now promoting to fight back, and they give stats to back that up!

Didn't mean to hijack this thread, but I am not alone in my feelings regarding the NRA. I really appreciate all the good they have done over the years, but I think right now they have it wrong.

If you are not comfortable having more than 10 rounds, then just load YOUR magazines to 10 rounds. Why dog on the rest of us with your nonsense?

Especially in the competitive shooting subforum...

Episode 114 - Scholastic Steel Challenge
SSC provides the opportunity for young adults aged 12 to 20 to participate in the exciting and challenging family sport of “speed steel," and do so in a supportive environment taught by trained and supportive adult coaches focusing on the safe handling and use of handguns.

SSC's competitive format is based on the Steel Challenge, the nation's most successful handgun competition. We have adapted the format to provide a safe yet action packed competition, one that both neophyte and experienced shooters will enjoy.

Rick and Larry head to the first sanctioned Steel Challenge match held at the Renton Fish and Game Club recently to give it a go.

Because he might hurt some Liberals politically correct feeling. As far as I'm concerned there
is no middle ground with the left.
