I just came from my local dealer, whom I hold in high regard, and was asking him about ordering a new Defender and he said that he heard the workers at Colt were on strike. Since it is Saturday he couldn't call them. I said that sounds strange because I surely would have read something at this forum about it. Any body know anything???
if you do a search you'll probably find at least 2 topics about the recent Colt strike. As far as I'm concerned, it has ended a while back and colt as since resumed normal production.
I think it was actually a Lock Out by the company when the contract expired. They have been back working for a while now and someone posted a few days ago that guns were shipping again. I hope that they get it all settled soon.
I sent something in for work two weeks ago. I promptly received an estimate in the mail. Either they've got night elves or they're back to work.
I don't care which, personally.
