Thanks to your posts, I have now developed
a lusting for an Ed Brown pistol.

Matter of fact, I liked your posts so much I
requested a catalog from EB and its sitting
next to me as I type this:cool:

It just looks and sounds to me like the ultimate 1911
pistola. I really like the way it looks. And if only I could
own/shoot one to know how it performs. Unfortunately
I dont (yet) have the buckeroos to buy one. But I
hope some day I will.

At this moment in time, Im torn between the Executive
Elite and the Kobra(s). So, if you guys have any pics of
them, thats any EB,..please post 'em.

If you have any links to pics of EB pistols please post those
too.

Thanks,

MH.

I have to say, Ed Brown 1911s are the most beautiful 1911 made! They are to handguns what Mercedes Benzes are to automobiles:

Tasteful, clean looking and damn near perfect. I doubth that I'll ever own a Mercedes, but I've got a Kobra Karry and an Executive Target on my wish list! I don't need a Mercedes - an Ed Brown would do me just fine!

Those are all superb examples of what a 1911 should look like. The craftsmanship really shows in those photos, and you just KNOW a firearm that looks that sweet, shoots like a dream, too!

Someday, I'll be able to afford the price tag, and will join the happy owners of an Ed Brown!

How does the bluing hold up on the KCs? Do they require constant care to keep finger oils and such from staining? I'd LOVE to have one of those in blue.
As the blueing wears with daily carry, the pistol has a tendency to get some light surface rust on warm humid days.

Now that I'm living in FL, I guess there will be more of those days and more wiping down of the KC.

Truth be told, right now I'm carrying my G27.
