New 1911 owner in Cali.
Hello all, glad to be here. My kids just bought me my very first 1911 for my 31 bday coming up here on the 20th.

A nice beautiful Filipino made Rock Island Armory 1911 GI Full servic. Hope she runs great.

Sounds as if you are off to a great start with a nice weapon. You will find this forum a great place to find information and answers. You may want to look into picking up a second 1911 to keep your RIA company.

Thanks. Yes I believe I might just invest in the Tactical version next. But it does take back seat to my current AR project.

wow your 1st 1911 that's awesome ( a Rock Island ) I hear those are good guns so it should run well. You'll find a lot of very useful 411 here for your 1911 and this forum is by
far the very best hope you have a great BDAY and enjoy shooting your RI 1911 at the range!
