New Vbob

I just picked up a new SS Vbob last night. Nice gun, I am really impressed with the fit and finish, Dan Wesson/CZ really do make nice 1911's. Here are a couple pics.

One of my very favorite weapons. Keep those grips, but look into sarge's grips for looks and feel.

Congratulations, I have one and it has become my absolute ATF. Very accurate and with the right gear it is not difficult to carry. It will be my EDC in the cooler months.

Same here. Down here in Dixie you need something for the summer.

Well I got out to the range today with the Vbob. All I can say is WOW. What a great gun. I ran 300 rounds thru it, 150 Rem 230 fmj, 100 rounds of American eagle 230 fmj, and 50 rounds of my 230 grain JHP handloads, the gun ran without a hitch (wish I could say that about my LB Stinger). Accuracy was superb. I do believe I have found my new EDC. There is just something about the bobtail with the slim grips, it feels like they made this gun just for me. I wish I would have discovered the Dan Wesson 1911's years ago, I would have saved a lot of money. I have had several Nighthawks, Wilson's, an Ed Brown, and have two Les Baer's, I would put this Vbob up against any of them and it would perform just as good if not better than any of them. If you are on the fence about buying a DW, I say go for it, you won't regret it.

Good choice.

I have Sarge's grips on my V-Bob; however, I can't find a photo. They are identical to these on my C-Bob. I don't like high gloss, so I ask him to cut them back a little.

I have a pair of Sarge's moradillo grips on my Guardian. They are first class all the way. Pics are still in the works.

Anybody else use 60 size o-rings on their v-bob grips? They dont seem to fit mine, as the screw wont reach and catch the bushing. Anybody experience the loosen of their grips during firing?
