I was watching that also it was hard to tell from the picture if it was a full frame or a CCO.

also why do you want a bushing barrel? trying to get a replacement is going to be harder than finding the gun itself.

Because I am Old School and that's the way Colt did it, so it must be right. I do need that 1911 medication thought,a fix of CCO with NS and a AMB.safety would about due it in all black, and some nice grips.

the Champion bushing is even smaller than the commander bushing. 4" vs. 4.25"

IIRC, Wilson used to have 4" bushing guns, but moved to the bull barrel for reliability and a little added weight from the bull barrel.

i also believe that the 4" bushing barrels were non-ramped.

That is some cool stuff in this thread. I never knew that SA made a officer frame with a 4" barrel. (must be kinda on the rare side of things)

Just when I thought I most of the SA hooey figured out, I get blind sided by the quackster...

Thanks buddy!

Missed this Thanks.

Yes I have heard this to I hoped maybe they started back and I missed it. It should not be this way if they can make them in the custom shop they could make them full production if they wanted to. Seems to me they are looseing a profit, but maybe they can't keep up with their other demand right now?

All I would have do do is add nite sights and roll. Now that you gentlemen have enlightened me to the barrel bushing on this model and the barrel lenght, the bull barrel makes alot of sense,on the SA versons. I still like the idea of a true CCO 4.25" with bushing, but not the OACP Quasi type. Thanks for all your help and all the pictures.Next to Colt I have always been a SA fan, like I said I am Old School that way but Springfield makes some damm fine looking 1911's thats for sure.

I was aware of them, and coming with and without bushings, but had no idea about the OACP tye bushing being used. Yes Quauk knows his Springfieds all right. Them both having 4" barrels even a bigger surprise to me. Learn something new ever day.
