I had no idea!

I was at my lgs picking up a magazine for my wife's Kimber and noticed they now carry Nighthawk customs, Les baer, and yes Dan Wesson! I held a few of all three brands and all though the Dan Wesson was $1000 less than the nighthawk, the guardian 45 was a perfect fit! I was so close to driving home and grabbing a few pistols to trade in on it. I am officially bit by the Dan Wesson bug. It is now priority one on my wish list. That is all.

The only bad thing about Dan Wessons? You won't be satisfied with just one.
Seriously. Not like Ed Brown or Kimbers, each Dan Wesson has its own...niche.
The only thing the different models have in common is high quality, and attention to detail.

Damn skippy. I plan on acquiring an ECO and V-Bob both with the duty treatment and all with the same black VZ 320 grips.

To the OP I commend your excellent choice and hopefully it joins your collection in the near future!

Thanks! It took me by surprise. I have never seen any of the three manufacturers pistols in person much less held one. From all the hype around nighthawk customs I opted to hold it first. It is a very nice pistol. Then I moved to the les Baer and again, nice pistol. When I held both Dan Wesson pistols I knew that I would have to have them. The guardian "fit" me better than any pistol I have held or shot before. If it weren't for my vacation in less than two weeks I would have brought it home. I hope it's there in a few weeks!

So true but no matter how many you have, you can be satisfied with just one more...... temporarily.

Well I couldn't just leave the guardian sitting on the shelf at the gun shop. Woke up this morning and took the trip to my lgs and bought the guardian 45. I'm cleaning it now and headed to my shooting range then to the lake to do some fishing!

Congrats Matt! Let us know how it was at the range. I'm sure it's going to be a terrific shooter.

I didn't make it to the range today. By te time I finished my errands the gates at the lake were going to close so we hauled butt. Had a blast bowfishing. The wife and I are going to the range tomorrow after I finish a round of golf. Will try to take pics of my sloppy shooting.

This is starting to sound like an AA meeting..... I have 2 Dan Wessons. They're starting to get very expensive. I wish they weren't worth every dime. Then I wouldn't need any more. I was just thinking - hey, I don't have a 10mm....hmmmmm..enjoy Mike

Not true! As of now I have a C-Bob, V-Bob and a Valor. I know that once I get a PM9 and a RZ10, I will be happy! Well maybe an ECO too.

I made it to the range today but didn't take the camera. I wish I could say it tore the hole out of the middle of the target, I'm just not that great of a shot. I was impressed with the accuracy shooting out to 15 yards. The trigger is short and crisp. I shot 100 rounds of ball ammo without a hiccup. I LOVE this gun. With more practice I will be as comfortable shooting it as I am my Springfield. Overall a great trip to the range.
