Just bought my first press!!!
I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Lyman T-Mag II Turret press! I am very excited to start reloading my own ammo but still have a few more purchases to make.

And the addiction begins
Congratulations!!! It won't be long now until you are making your own rounds. Buy a couple of manuals, a good scale and calipers. Always check for proper powder levels before setting the bullet, and Enjoy

Let us know how it turns out, operation wise, how you like it, I'm wanting to start back and not sure which press to buy.

You aren't kidding! I will definitely give my thoughts on the press when I get it and get some rounds made.

You may find that reloading is a hobby in it's own right. Sometimes I get the desire to shoot just to make more empties to feed my press.

There will be a day that you find something on sale,
maybe a case gauge or a seating die or shellholder, and you will buy it even though you don't load that caliber. Then you'll have to save the money to buy the gun to shoot it. It just never ends. P.S. It is the perfect addiction. No rehab or therapy is ever necessary. Just load and shoot some more. It's the perfect addiction. |

A tip - make sure that you raise the stabilizing stem on the back of the press until it actually hits the underside of the tool head then back it off just a bit. This minimizes deflection of the tool head when sizing. Use grease on the ball bearing on the bottom of the tool head and oil on all contact surfaces between the press and the tool head.
Last but not least, you'll find the dies are jammed pretty close together. I had a variety of lock rings on hand and tried several for each die until one locked down where I could get to the set screw. Don't forget that flipping the lock ring over may position the set screw better. |

I found an estate sale that had been going on for several days and they had reloading items there BUT no buyers. The person there said no one bought any of it and offered the whole lot to me for $200.....There was that much in just dies. Tons of stuff......All I had was $300 on me and told the guy that if he helped me load it in my truck, I'd give him $300. We both jumped into action filling the bed of my truck and cab UP..!!!!!! What a find...What a day......!!! I'm still going through some of it and its been 4 years ago. Oh well...you never know what your going to find at a garage sale or estate sale! I'll never pass any up again ![]() Don2

You often find posts on the forums that hand loading does not save you any money because you shoot more. Isn't that the point!!!!
![]() Congratulations you will have a ball making and shooting your own loads. |

cancel the order and start using crack or heroin. it will be a lot less addicting and cheaper in the long run! i'm 61, started reloading at about 16, got in my first SUPER 1050 today. my 5th? dillon. sometimes i feel like starting a recovering support group. you bought a great press. you just have no idea what you got urself into. yet. you will!
