Skipbo, beautiful wood on those AKs and the M14! Did you finish the wood yourself?

My modest collection grows. Colt SP 6920, BCM 16" CHF upper/PSA lower. PSA 16" CHF upper/Spikes Lower and PSA 16" storebought complete rifle.

Next step with there is optics on the BCM (plus getting a BCM BCG to replace the PSA one in it now...need a spare anyway way I'm going ), getting a 2nd 6920 then maybe a 14" build or 2nd 16" middy.....their breeding slowly

Well you know, I have already rolled out some of my modern hardware.

For display on this thread. And I really do like my AR style rifles and carbines as well as my FN FAL and other rifles that I own.

However sometimes I just have to bring out the old soldiers to get their day in the sun and set them up at attention and admire them as well as shoot them.

the new guns are great. No doubt about it. But when I take out all of my Garands and line them up in a row loaded of course. Sometimes I just feel as though I need to take my hat off and salute them. Mine never saw any action. They are unissued guns made in the fifties. But they are ready if the need arises. I shoot them on occasion, but not a lot. I am looking at younger members of the extended family to see if they deserve something like this down the line. Unfortunately I am not seeing much interest from my younger relatives in these fine machines. Most have no idea of what they even are. A real shame for certain. I am fairly young and in good health at this time. So I do not dwell on this.

But I will make certain that they eventually go to a good cause. It is not likely that I will ever need to sell them to feed myself.

I would highly recommend to all that they get their hands on one of these fine CMP rifles while they still can.

I love the AK's and I WILL own one someday. I don't know if there will be any ammo available for them, but hey.
