Loose ejector
Hey guys I just noticed that my ejector in my GI 1911 is pretty loose. I can pull it upward and see light between it and the frame. Im not sure what I need to do to fix this any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if this has already been covered but I could not find it in a search. I would prefer not to send my gun back to Nevada as it has just got back. Thanks in advance

It is a little loose fit. Not terribly uncommon. It will likely work okay like this for awhile (or longer) or you can:

Yeah probably going to go with wilson. I have had great luck with their parts so far.

But check out EGW too http://www.egwguns.com/ejectors/ Unlike many companies that spec/contract the parts from vendors and package them with their logo, EGW actually make/manufacture the parts. I don't "know" this, but I'd bet my last bullet that EGW makes many parts for 1911 manufactures who simply re-package them and $ell for more due to hi-end brand name recognition side note on ejector change, as long as the ejector leg/peg isn't broken and stuck in the frame, it shouldn't be too tough of a job . Be careful if you use Dawson's drill method that you don't egg shape or oversize the pin hole in the frame ..L.T.A. |
