lobo

then why do they make pretty panties and such?....myself I like to look at how pretty my holster is when I put it on ...but not so others can see it...beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Marlinspike,
How about sending me an email or a PM if you've already ordered your HF1. I'd like to know your "real" name.

Thanks,
Rob

How much of your life do you spend in a Restaurant ot a Bar??? Get a cheap holster for that and a good one for normal carry.

And open carry in a bar seems idiotic to me. But that's just me.

I cannot escape the irony! When carrying concealed the entire object of the exercise is that the holstered handgun not be seen. Adding "pretty" to something that no one is ever intended to see?

For me, form must follow function. Performance beats pretty, just about every time.

For what it's worth.
There you go. That's the best answer. Very few people have ever seen my CC holsters and I've been carry for over 40 years.

I don't drink, so if I'm ever in a bar it's only to serve in a DD capacity.

As far as how much of my life do I spend in a restaurant, it's like this. Lunch break, decide to go to a restaurant. Well, just about every restaurant sells beer, which means I have to leave the gun in the car, which is not an idea I like, which means I won't have carried at all that day if I knew from the outset that I'll be going to a restaurant.

Also, man, I need to slow down when typing forum posts. "and restuarant"? Seriously?

I spend most of the time in a sport coat/suit so it's easy for a hip holster to go from open to concealed for me.

Got my holster in a week or so ago from 5 Shot Leather. Absolutely beautiful! Mahogany stain with elephant trim. John does quality + work.

Holy cow, a guy comes back to resurrect and update his year old holster thread and it gets turned into a moral judgment/irrelevant state law debate, holster aesthetics critique and general out of the blue holster review.

The guy knows what, when and how he wants and must carry and has it coming home soon. I'm just jealous I can't get a HF1 with Texas concho bling and wear it openly to show it off. I'm sure we'll have pictures soon??
