Picked up a Kimber today.
I started the day off by picking up my Concealed Cary permit, and then drove to a local gun store. I picked up a Pro Cary II in 45 ACP that I've been looking at for a few days.

So over all it was a good day -

I'll be taking my newest kimber to the range tomorrow to run it through its paces. Should be another good day.

Congrats. I too just picked up a Kimber today. A ultra carry II. Make sure to post some pics. We love gun porn!!!

Vey good day, Welcome to America, lol. I am sending in my CCW paperwork this week to DPS....already got the pistols. It should and probably won't be your last Kimber or 1911 My wife liked my 1911's just not the recoil so I got her a Pro Carry II in 9mm....Taking her out tomorrow morning to shoot it for her birthday week....birthday week, lol, chicks!

Don't forget to field strip it and clean it before that first range trip. I also heavily lube newer Kimbers during the 500 round break in period.

I ended up running a few hundred rounds through my Kimber today ( like I mentioned in the OP ) and as I expected, It ran flawlessly. I ran a few different types of ammo through it, and it ate everything I gave it without any hesitation.

I was very surprised at the accuracy that the 4 inch barrel produced. I will not have any reservations with making this my first carry weapon.

I'm very pleased with my purchase of my Pro Carry II.

I was unable to take pics of my targets but I will say that My Pro carry II is as accurate as any of the 1911 Ive ever owned.
