Flat Spring/Tactical Elite

Can the flat recoil spring be used in the tactical elite/bull barrel?

It can. Just use with the reverse plug that is already in the gun.

Flat Spring Tactical Elite

FYI
Too difficult an operation and, with the reverse plug and only the spring behind, the recoil spring and barrel lug are wide open to dirt entering. The full length guide rod will not fit into the flat spring.

That was my understanding.

Is it incorrect that the flat spring will not fit over the FLGR?

I understand that it can be done with the smaller diameter, short guide rod that comes with the spring, but you are losing the FLGR, wich many people believe contributes to the easy shoot ability of the TE.

You are correct. We do not have a full length rod for the flatwire at this time for 5" guns since the spring requires a smaller diameter rod. I am sure we will have one eventually.
