With all the blather about the 19 women who died in Montreal you would think we have running gun battles in our streets, daily. Vote this week on funding of the Registry. I am writing our MP tonite. According to CBC, the Liberal's mouthpiece, there were over 500 gun murders in Canada last year. Not bad reporting, only out by approx 375! LIke your idea for carry but difficult to wear under my suit at the Bank! Will continue to carry until I get the restraining order against a weirdo up here. I am applying for an ATF while in the bush fishing. RCMP have a tough time protecting me on the river.

Hi Zorkd ,

The Galco you sold me for my USP45 is great. I like the color , works fine with my loose outer garment.

How about your Norinco, did you read my PM at Glocktalk? Baka interesado ka sa proposal ko.

Well it was 14 plus 2 guys who killed themselves over their guilt of having done nothing. Nobody cares about them? In fact, IF the figure of 500 gun DEATHS are correct (which I think it's less), we need to examine the facts.

Of these deaths (not necessarily murder) we have legitimate self defense, shooting by cops, suicides, and of course, thugs killing each other.

Mounties protecting you?

No the 500 approx. figure is for homicides in Canada last year of which 128 were gun related and of those, most were drug dealers settling scores from what I hear. As or the total # of gun deaths (Suicides inc.) I don't have the figures for. I did read that since C68 the use of firearms to commit suicide (speaks to PAL/POL) has fallen. The actual rate hasn't. The latter is a clear indication that suicides are obviously brought on by a stong desire to end ones life, the gun is the method by which the suicide is accomplished. I guess for $1.4 billion we can take heart in the fact those in that situation now choose a less visible method to end their lives.....I hear UK is now going to come up with some plan to control kitchen knives as people apparently are stabbing each other. The Brits may learn that knife attacks are significantly more lethal than are gun shot wounds. God help the cutlery business if our idiots in Ottawa get wind of it!

It doesn't matter. I haven't heard even one postive thing come out of Ottawa for years. Why you give a damn is a mystery. I give up.

Here's the picture of the Norinco Factory Enhanced Special I bought the other day. It has front & rear slide serrations, flat top slide, extended mag. release button, combat hammer, videki style trigger , novak style rear sight, beavertail grip safety and original Norinco wrap around rubber grip. All these features come as it is from China.

It's just like yours Zorkd except for the front serrations & flat top slide.

Why thank you Sir. The baby boomers are getting on! Ah Elvis, Buddy Holly...now that was real rock and roll.

Hermo Gut

Now that is a fine pistol. I wish we could convice Marstar or Lever to import them as well. How is the internal finish? If you don't mind me asking how much are they there?

Regards to all and Merry Christmas from your friends in Canada's Northwest.

Hitman Joe - Thank you Bro. I got the unit from Trust Trade for only P19.4T plus documentation. Sayang nga hindi pa ako kina Deenoh nakabili, actually it's an after thought na lang pero natuluyan na rin. The photo was taken last gunshow pero two days ago lang ako bumili sa Makati Cinema Square.

Robertbank - Happy Bday sir. I got the pistol for about US$ 370 (including documentation). The pistol is not yet with me. It will take around a month or two before I could get the documented/licensed unit. As for the inside, the display unit I saw was better compared to the milspec ones though there were toolmarks still present (action felt smoother). I'll post pictures (internal)/descriptions after receiving the unit.

1911A1 Compact

you can now get Norinco 1911A1 Compact in .45 ACP in Canada. Cost is around $425.00 for the kit. If looking for extra mags use Remington.
