+P vs. NATO Ammo

I admit to being a non-HP owner. I read that you shouldn't use +P or +P+ 9mm in the HP. However, the NATO ball is spected beyond the chamber pressure of +P ammo as I remember. Since Britain and Canada (plus a few others) used the HP in NATO, how do you explain this? They fired NATO standard ball at the ranges I was at.

I believe there was a thread on this not long ago. Check with the search. I use a 18.5# Wolf spring in my BHP when shooting NATO and +p ammo. I've had no problems.
