Every source I've found related to this subject refer to the documents signed by Obama as "Executive Orders"; no different than those of any preceding POTUS. Again, what are these "Executive Actions" you keep referring to? Further, EO's carry "force of law" just as soon as the POTUS signs them. Many of Obama's EO's directed Congress to do different things. Some these will entail drafting of new legislation (which can ONLY be done by Congress) which well then need to pass in both Houses before finally being signed into law by Obama.

No, it does not become law. It remains an Executive Order. EO's carry force of law but they are not laws. Laws are written by Congress and signed into law by the POTUS.

This, at least, is correct. It requires a 2/3 majority of both houses to overturn an Executive Order.

Google "executive action vs executive order" I am getting several references to actions. Also while trying to figure out just how what the POTUS did to us I have come across several sites that are saying what he did were actions not orders. Seems to be about a 50/50 split between what the sites are calling them.

As to them not being a law, yes, that is technically correct, but since they have the "full force and effect of law", can't be overturned unless a 2/3 majority vote, they might as well be laws.

This link contains every Executive Order Obama has signed since being in office. It is current through today, Jan 18, and it does not list anything that he signed on the 16th. The last order he signed was on Dec 27, giving pay raises to certain gov. employees.
