Thanks,

What a novel idea, BD! I never thought of that one. There is a lot of testosterone in that gun room...

Yeah, I might be dead already and just need to go lie down and close my eyes. Gee, I guess that makes me a zombie with a lust for 1911's instead of brains! Come to think of it, if I had more brains I probably wouldn't have all of these little 1911s.

I have a growning collection of Wilson Combat magazines and I have a Colt Officer's model on the way to my LGS. It's been customized and tricked out with a bunch of Wilson Combat parts. Should be here by the end of the week or beginning of next.

This is why I love my gf! Was at cabelas yesterday, saw a $2,700 colt peacemaker. * she has no idea how much I don't have in the bank but* I said in a very serious tone, I want it! Can I get it? Expecting her to laugh hysterically and shout no she just said "sure" with a huge grin. My baby loves guns!!!

You did EXACTLY right thing here because, remember, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission . . . .

I have a friend that has solved this problem. When he buys a new gun he gives it to a friend and in about six or seven weeks the friend shows up, hands the rifle to the wife and says, " I borrowed this from Larry, would you put it in the safe for me?"
