New to me...P13-45 steel frame from the original owner. Haven't called on the date of manufacture yet, he thought '94-'95 and I have a Para flyer that came with it dated '95. Got 4 PO hi-cap mags, 1 PO 10 round and 1 10 round no name. Low miles on everything. Gun was 'smithed by Jim Rose....Clark bbl, NM bushing, checkered front, 2.5lb trigger Won't have a chance to test it for a week or so....can't wait.
...had to give 700.00 for it, don't think I got hurt.... |

my new toy
I just got this yesterday and am very excited about it. It's all about getting the job done...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() From what I can tell it has (I would be very grateful for any comments from someone who knows more about Paras since I don' know what is stock and what is aftermarket) Para Ordnance P14-45 with 2 factory mags, P206XXX serial number, made in Canada circa ~ 2010 Para Ordnance Match barrel Match trigger (STI or factory?) Extended thumb safety (Wilson Combat or stock?) Skeletonized hammer (anyone recognize this one? is it stock?) 3 dot sights (anybody know what these are?) There are vertical slits on the front of the frame/handle that I have seen on some old pictures but not on all. I am guessing this was done from the factory Maybe an Smith & Alexander flat checkered mainspring housing? I don't know what the stock one looks like, but this one may be stock. Now I am looking for a shoulder rig, IWB holster, Dawson Precision aluminum base pads & springs, good ammo. I will probably install a Wilson slide release first.

Here's my GI Expert. It's a little rough, it's my daily carry gun. I like Blackhawk's stuff but their serpa holsters are hell on a pistols finish.

blackdout1911, who are you asking? My beavertail came with it. My belief is that muy gun was a configuration that pre-dated the 'P14 Limited' version', which comes with the match barrell, beavertail, 3 dot sights and STI trigger. While I don't have absolute confirmation, I believe that my P14 is actually factory stock.
For P14s I have heard that the Wilson .220 beavertail can be dropped in but that no beavertail fits perfectly without some level of machining. The right way I have heard is to hire a gunsmith to install a .250 version. Last edited by Seraphim38; 06-19-2012 at 12:22 PM. |

I put together a model that Para just never got around to making, a Commander size Hi cap. I fitted a P13 top end onto a P14 lower for a sweet carry piece.

What did you do with the frame from the P13-45 and the slide from the P14-45?
Long slide P13? |

I was going to part the left overs out but I ran into a guy that had a bunch of P13 mags and he bought it all. Apparently he was going to use a reverse plug to cover the gap in between the dust cover and the slide. I never did see his completed project.
The P13 grip was just a tad too short for me, I even tried an S&A magwell guide.
