I made mention in another thread that one of my Taurus complaints was the unique sight cut. It is hard to overcome as in doing anything with. More than one 1911 maker supplies less than ideal magazines. They know people have favorite 1911 mags and are going to buy and use them. I use tripp research cobra mags in all three Taurus 1911 calibers with zero problems. You should give them a try.

Wilson and cMc mags are both of excellent reputation. I have used them in colts and one of my colts came with Wilson. Shop around and see what you can find in person or on the net.

I am with you on this though I do not want to detract from other good mags. When I buy Tripp Cobra Mags, I am keeping my mag money instate. Harrison has them now on his website, too.

I definitely agree with getting new mags, but in the meantime it sounds like you need to disassemble your mags and clean them, and I also had to crimp closer the top of one of my mags to get it back to working order.

Over time the feed lips on my factory mags started getting stress cracks. A friend of mine has a pair of mags that are cracked pretty dramatically and the mags will not feed at all anymore.
I too would suggest aftermarket mags. I've had good luck with Kimber mags. They have been durable and reliable for me and they don't break the bank.
