That's a beautiful gun. I'd like to find one like that to complement my 6" blued Trooper MKIII and my Anaconda.

They were very nice guns but I went the more expensive Python route.

I wish Colt brings back revolver production. They would make a fortune with a ready market.

I love all of Colt's snakes. The King Cobra and Ananconda are the "Tanks" of Colt double action revolvers.

I wish all of my guns were as reliable as my king cobra. I have had mine for 17 years now and have never had one malfunction. I first bought it with an allowance from an armored car company I worked for. The only time I had to pull it on duty it was at a currency exchange on food stamp day. Some fool got in my face, I pulled it out I said nothing, and it was like parting the sea. It was then I decided I would never get rid of it. I hope all of your cobras are as good to all of you.
Dave

rdnzl, is that six inch King Cobra in bright stainless? It looks kind of shiny. I don't believe they made too many of those.

It IS a really nice revolver. I purchased a 6" KC in bright stainless back in 1989, and was told by a Colt rep at a gun show a few years later that they had ceased producing them in the "ultimate" finish. I still have mine and I'm glad I kept it. I wish I'd bought a few more of them.

I found some pictures of my 6" KC in bright stainless. These were taken with an old 35mm film camera and then scanned, but I believe the shinyness is still there. This one came in a maroon cardboard box with a styrofoam liner. I have fired about 500 rounds through it when I got it (1989) and it's been pretty much a "safe queen" ever since. I'm gonna hafta do something about that real soon.
