night sights
I have a 1911 es scandium frame, and was wondering if truglo makes a tfo sight for this model and if anyone has a model#. I have these on several other pistols and really like them, but I can't seem to find a model# for a SW 1911. Thanks for the help...

Titaniumman,
As of a few weeks ago, and it has been constant for years, the only 1911 that TruGlo makes the Tritium TruGlo fiber optic/tritium sights for is the Kimber. S&W was not listed. I do not know if the Kimber cut can be adapted to the S&W, or if it could be adapted whether the geometry would stil work out, but S&W was not listed.

Thanks for the info, I have 2 glocks with the TFO sights and really like them. I guess I will try a different mfr.

Titaniumman,
Yes, I have them also on a couple of Sigs and they are the most visible sights I've ever used. I love them. A possible problem with using the TFO sights on an E Series might be the slightly recessed grooving running lengthwise atop the frame. This recessed grooving puts the sights on a plane that is slightly above the slide. With the longer TFO sights the sights might hang out in space above the slide like a cantilevered balcony.
