Wish me luck...

Well ladies and gentlemen,

I picked up my final college transcripts today, so I'm going to drop off my application to local PD tomorrow morning.

Here's hoping.

Good luck buddy! I hope it works out, but don't forget to send out those applications out at the cyclic rate. Apply to as many departments as possible. Also, if the department your applying to is anything like ones I have don't get discouraged with the sheer length of time it takes to make some progress.

Just to give you and idea,
I applied for a Fed Officer job May 2011, went through hiring process at sporadic increments here and there, contacted me with a conditional offer in Oct 2011 , waited for clearance and med stuff to get done, FINALLY finished the whole process in March 2012. I'm still waiting for my start date but they're not expecting me to go to FLETC until October/November 2012. Keep your head up!

Thanks for the support guys. Turns out I was missing a transcript (High School) so now I have to wait two weeks for my high school to get that sent down before they will accept my application. Oh well such is life.

So... right now you live in the not-quite-as-soon(er) state?

Good luck stud!! You might want to consider applying with the Houston PD too. I've heard they are looking for recruits.

All the best to you. I remember the agony of waiting for "the word" to
arrive after I got out of college. 35 years of federal law enforcement later I retired with the knowledge that I without a doubt made the right career choice.
